Make lobbying of U.S. congressmen and senators a felony.

Lobbyists, with their well-funded backers, have effectively muted the vote of the people. Congressmen and senators now say anything they need to to get elected, and lobbyist funding allows them to reach a lot of people through the media. But the laws congressmen and senators support are limited to what the lobbyists want them to support. Our democracy has been degraded by political Darwinism. The officeholders who got into office to do right by the country have been steadily losing ground to those who focus on getting elected. Lobbyists exacerbate this problem. We no longer have a government for the people. We have a government for the lobbyists.
