make Malcolm X day a federal or national holiday. Or at least just recognizable in other places like California and D.C.

Created by J.T. on May 07, 2015

Malcolm X was a man that was looked at as bad person because he said he was willing to get equal rights by any means necessary. He is looked at as a bad person because during the time he was around there was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who fought for the same rights as Malcolm X fought for but deiced to do it in a peaceful way, but how many times was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was arrested versus Malcolm. I'm' tired of the world looking at Malcolm as the darkness while Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was the light during that time. California and Washington D.C. recognizes it as a holiday, so why not all the other states. I live in South Carolina, and I would like to have it recognize my state, but at least make this day recognizable for a place he called home...Michigan.
