Make mandatory that all Gov't employees and candidates for office be held under legal oath against perjury in all speech

An attempt should be made to insure the safety of all Americans against the predations of those who would seek to use and or abuse the power and authority of elected office to intentionally or unintentionally mislead the governed about the truth of policies or activities in government affairs that would literally have a direct affect upon the lives of all Americans. Americans, with the exception of LEGITIMATE National Security Issues, should be kept apprised of ALL TRUE FACTS surrounding ALL issues germane to the efficient management of the government for which ALL Americans employ, elect and pay taxes for the operation thereof. Should those in office, or running for office, be found guilty of TRUE perjury, a minimum 2 year prison sentence should be mandated.
