Make mandatory background checks the law for anyone who lives in the home of a person who wants to purchase a gun.

The gunman who massacred 26 innocent children and adults did so by stealing his mother's guns. When new gun laws are written, there should be a provision put in which states that not only should the person who is purchasing the gun be subject to a background check, but anyone who is living in their home with them should also be subject to a background check. Anyone who lives in that home will have access to those weapons, and should be cleared by law as if they were purchasing the weapons themselves.
