Mr. Rogers was a modern day saint who could take the hardest and most stubborn of us and make us feel like we are special, loved and have value. He accomplished so much in his life for child development that after watching his show nothing seems impossible or out of reach.
He is deserving of a national holiday to remember that no matter what neighborhood you're from, everyone of us is special and has value.
