Many people involved in the marching arts (marching band, color guard, drum corps, drill team, drum lines, fife and drum corps, and pipe bands) celebrate an unofficial holiday called National Marching Arts Day in celebration of their favorite activity. Many of them would love to see it become a national holiday. In the US there are about 37,000 high schools and thousands of colleges that have Marching Bands and the activity certainly has changed lives and have led many people on a path of success, including presidents. This could easily become a very popular holiday.
