Amendment 14 forbids states from denying any person "life, liberty or property, without due process of law" or to "deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” and the famous quote, "all men are created equal" . Assuming that all are equal we all have the right to get married and call it a marriage, gays should be allowed the same right as everyone else. America indeed was based on a religion, but why did our Founding Fathers come to America? America has become a "melting pot" from different religions and cultures. We shall NOT base politics on religion, and religion on politics. Marriage does not only have to be defined by a man and a woman, but by two men or 2 women. Fellow American citizens, we are breaking our own laws.
