Marriage is a religious ceremony, not a freedom to be equally granted by the federal government. Marriage is not something to be equally granted, it is Granted under the rules and rights granted to all religious organizations within the United States. Thus No Equality can be Granted. There can be a situation where a church can refuse Marriage to a couple, regardless of their want to marry. Thus the Right of Religion cannot be usurped by Government.
