Make Massachusetts' Patriots Day a Federal Holiday in Honor of Brave Citizens, First Responders who protect our Freedom

Created by T.B. on April 20, 2013

Massachusetts and Maine are the only two states who celebrate Patriots' Day in mid-April in honor of first battles of the Revolutionary War. With recent events at the 2013 Boston Marathon and the display of bravery by the citizens, first responders, area hospitals, and Federal agents to quick response in times of attack to our liberties, we need to honor them and the importance of protecting our freedoms. We have true Patriots among us and need to take time to thank them for their service.
