While Baseball has been America's Pastime for a great many years, it continues to lose yearly to football in terms of airtime, popularity, and revenue raised. While both have their share of scandals, Baseball continues to have many of its most popular players on steroids. Lastly, in Baseball, only a few teams truly succeed: the Yankees, the Red Sox, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Football, on the other hand, truly represents the American Dream: any team, on any given Sunday, can beat each other and produce a legacy to be proud of: from the publicly-owned Green Bay Packers to the Steel Curtain of the Pittsburgh Steelers. With those issues in mind, I believe it is time to make the official switch to Football as America's Pastime.
