Insomuch as Harvey Milk was a pioneer in the championing of civil rights for all Americans and died defending the rights of all Americans and in service to his community and his country, it is time to make May 22nd, the birth date of Mr. Milk, a national holiday that celebrates his life and work as well as reminds of the continuing fight for fundamental human rights for all Americans.
