We the people ask the federal government to Tell us what the federal government is doing about an issue:

Make May 27th, Harambes birthdate, a national holiday, and May 28th a national mourning day.

Created by F.D. on December 15, 2016

For many of you, Harambe was nothing more than something just to laugh at. But to us that went to the Zoo in his life, he was a glowing beacon of prosperity and hope. To those who wish to learn about Harambe, I will explain. Harambe was a Western lowland gorilla born on May 27th, 1999. He came to Cincinnati 2 years ago to learn new social skills and to become friends with new gorillas. But on that fateful day, on May 28th, a small child fell into the enclosure. No one blames the child, but it could have been easily preventable. A gorillas death is unfortunately not uncommon, increasingly in captivity. Harambe approached the child and appeared to try to save it. Alas, he was shot and killed like an animal. We the people, ask for a day to celebrate his life, and the proceeding day to mourn.
