Make meaningful cuts to non-Social Security/Medicare entitlements programs to reduce the deficit - not just raise taxes

Created by D.B. on January 04, 2013

Most agree that earned entitlements such as Social Security & Medicare should not be cut for those retired or near retirement. However, we must study and propose meaningful cuts to un-earned entitlements now.

My wife and I earn far less than $250,000 per year but our taxes have gone up due to the expiration of the payroll tax holiday and reductions to pre-tax flexible spending contributions. Raising taxes on working people is not the sole solution - we must cut spending now.
