Make media depictions of murder subject to the same decency as stringent as those for pornography and cursing.

Created by L.E. on December 17, 2012

Whereas it is incomprehensible that cursing on network television leads to a fine by the FCC, yet depictions of murder and violence are permissible; whereas the effects of viewing violence are well studied and connected to violent behavior; and whereas our society is increasingly inundated with random acts of mass murder and violence more than any other first world country, we call upon our government to take common sense action to define and prohibit the bulk of depictions of fictional violence in the media including television, movies, the Internet, and print.
