All members of Congress should be required to provide for their own retirement, adhere to the same laws and health care reforms as the common man. Only then will they be "qualified" to approve and enact laws pertaining to the population of the US. Instead of voting a healthy raise for themselves each year, vote that raise for those who live on social security or disablilty and are forced to live hand to mouth each day, not knowing if they will be able to provide for their needed medications, food and shelter. If you live each day knowing that your needs are going to be met for the rest of your life, how can you presume to identify with the rest of society?
