Make Mesothelioma funding available from the 30 billion dollar trust fund set aside for lawsuits.

Created by S.M. on January 29, 2016

30 billion dollars is set aside for lawsuits against the asbestos industry. This money goes to those suffering with Mesothelioma and their families. It does not improve the lives of those suffering this severe and terminal illness. The prognosis for the disease typically won't allow the patient to live long enough to get any of the money.
The trust fund should allow a limited amount of this money for Research. This would address the patients suffering by developing new treatments to prolong and improve life quality.
Mesothelioma has only one cause, exposure to asbestos. The asbestos industry failed to self regulate, and the US Governments failed to regulate and limit/prevent exposure of workers to asbestos. This funding is the last opportunity to do right for people exposed to asbestos.
