Make it mandatory that ALL public and private schools in the United State of America improve their security features by having metal detectors installed and armed security posted immediately. With the need for further precautions, these are the least that can be taken. Camera’s and arming teachers has been debated but I believe the first step to making schools safer is by supplying them with trained security and the use of metal detectors at all exits.
After the horrific events that took place on December 14, 2012 in Newtown, CT at Sandy Hook Elementary School where 27 innocent people were viciously murdered the president, the NRA, & the community of Newtown called for possible changes to help prevent school shootings in the future. This is a small step in the right direction.
