Urge President Obama to use Executive powers, or pressure Congress to introduce legislation, that would make the SI, or Metric system, the only legally acceptable form of measurements for: Commerce, Education, Industry, Government, Transportation, Science, Law, Medicine, Trade, and all other foreseeable instances in which quantitative measurement must be taken.
Without such efforts, we cannot attain full competitiveness in scientific, economic, nor any other high-tech field.
Limited knowledge of the metric system amongst the US population makes fields which require the use of SI units less accessible to the population as a whole.
