For years the concept of public domain has shrink, and copyright has grown exponentially, in both duration and in scope. Any fair reading of most of these changes (and the planned ones, with the TPP) would not yield out that this has not resulted in any public good, or even "fostering the sciences and the useful arts."
So, since we CAN'T have shorter copyright, CAN'T develop more compulsory licences like with music, CAN'T stop lenghtening copyright, and CAN'T stop making trade agreements that we can't back out of, I'm asking The President if he can make Steamboat Willie, Action Comics #1 and Detective Comics #27 public domain.
I mean, sure, there's more at stake than that. The progress of science and art are litterally being set back a century. But that's all THEY care about anyway.
