Approximately 5 million to 7 million animals enter U.S. animal shelters every year. Four million cats and dogs—about one every eight seconds—are put down. Many of them have owners looking for them.

Your pet's microchip implant gives him the best chance of returning home. Pet tags or ID collars, need to be replaced regularly—and can slip off, be removed, or become hard to read— but microchips last a lifetime.
