Problems that need to be changed: Students don’t get enough sleep with early schools start times and their is evidence that shows later start times can benefit student's brains and bodies allowing them to get better get better grades not only in their first 2 classes, but in all their classes. Researchers say that if school starts at 7:00-8:00, then student’s brain and body are still in biological sleep mode. Only 7.5% of teenagers get a sufficient amount of sleep (9 hours or more) while over 67% get an insufficient sub 8 hours. What is blocking us is school districts, to save money, coordinate school and bus schedules so that one bus can carry more than one group of children to school in the morning.
