The United States is determined to pursue fair, honest, and lawful relations between nations. We know that military conquest cannot re-draw borders if we are to have an international order that benefits all people. Hence, we do not support anyone that redraws borders except through peaceful negotiation.
Unfortunately, Israel, our ally, is awash in domestic voices that would renege on its commitment, both to the United States and to itself, to pursue a two-state solution to the Palestine-Israeli conflict.
As America currently provides significant aid in defense of Israel, contingent for years upon an impending peace deal, we must require that our ally follow our mutual course. All military grants must depend on pursuit of the two-state solution. It is the only safe solution for Israel.
