Make military service a requirement for the director of the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as senior officials.

I am a veteran. I've seen what high ranking officers in the military can do, and I've seen what senior officials in civilian worlds can do. A base general is sort of like a mayor, so why can't a general, or a colonel, base sergeant major etc. be an option for such a position? Any veteran that would like to see a change, not for ourselves only, but for our Brothers and Sisters before us who have done so much more and have gotten so much less, or for your children, their children and so on.
