Long story short, I live in New York City. It's very expensive to live here. I'm also a student that has just within the past year or two how rediculously impossible it is to start out your life here without going through a financial nightmare. As of 2012, New York City currently has a minimum wage of roughly $7.25. This is not good enough. Our monthly rent is basically a scam, our transportation fees are high, groceries are expensive-- the list goes on. Other states have the same issue as well. Change is needed, please sign this petition!
