Make modest cuts to defense spending in order to fund our lagging education, research, and social programs.

Created by J.C. on May 16, 2012

As a nation we spend more on defense than nearly all other countries combined. In the middle of the last century our educational system was the best in the world and our scientific innovation had allowed us to become the world power we are today. This access to quality education and the jobs created by our scientific innovation helped to create the middle class that for decades drove our economic growth and provided an unprecedented quality of life for American citizens. With reinvestment in education, scientific research, and social programs we can once again regain our place as a leader in education and revitalize our suffering middle class through the jobs created by a reinvestment in scientific research and the industries that it can both support and create. Thank you for your time.
