In the last few years I have noticed that the day of the Super Bowl, my friends have complained how they will have to get up early and go to work the following day. Forcing us to watch our alcoholic intake and not be able to fully enjoy ourselves like we could as if it were a Friday or Saturday night party. Since the NFL is so big in America, in my mind, it seems to make sense to make Super Bowl Monday an official holiday.
