Make the Monday Following Super Bowl Sunday a Federal Holiday.

Created by C.W. on January 27, 2013

Super Bowl Sunday is an event like no other in America. It attracts the viewership of young and old, male and female. The spectacle permeates society and captivates more than 100 million viewers annually. Traditional festivities on game day include overeating, alcoholic consumption, and raucous mirth; it is our society's Saturnalia. Kickoff occurs after 6 pm EST and the game typically ends no earlier than 11 pm EST. Revelers often require extra time to recover from proper celebration. It is estimated that over 1.5 million people call in sick and another 4.4 million arrive late to work the following day. Please do right for hardworking Americans and enact this before a Super Bowl requires overtime. We need this day off and will be forever grateful for it.
