The slogan "global war on terror" has been coined by many nations, but the sacrifices of the American military have been unmatched. There are those who would say "we shouldn't even be there" and that it is a "war against oil rights" or a "political war". When politics come into play, everything has the potential to be skewed. Instead I plead, Mr. President, we remember those who have fallen. They have fallen even if they disagree with orders. They have fallen defending their brothers in arms. They have fallen protecting the rights of Americans to speak freely. It may not be the task they wanted, but it was the task they defended to the death. We the people demand a memorial honoring those who have died in defense of American freedom during the Iraq/Afghanistan conflict.
