Change is needed, and it doesn't happen without drastic and revolutionary action.
For too long, our Legislative Branch has been plagued by stagnant members, and private interests. In an age where Senators and Congressmen are bought and traded like commodities, the Legislative Branch has become self-serving and corrupt.
Just as the two-term limit of 8 years protects America from despots and dictators, so should it be equally protected against embedded influences in the Legislature, which is itself supposed to be a counter-balance against the Executive Branch.
Politics has become a career, and that is unacceptable and unfair to the American people.
I move to see a law passed - by popular vote of the American people - to limit Congressional terms to 8 years, ensuring new governance.
