Neil deGrasse Tyson will speak in front of Congress on Wednesday, March 7th. This petition is in support of his stance.
We need to revitalize the NASA program. We need to create innovation that will bring expertise and jobs back to America. "Since 1976, more than 1,300 NASA technology spinoffs have reached the market [source: Beith]. NASA boosters estimate that spinoffs have generated at least $7 in taxes and economic growth for every $1 the government has invested in NASA's programs [source: Gaudin]." We need to find new resources beyond the Earth. We need to find ways to save the earth from natural and man-made disasters.
We simply can't afford not to invest our tax dollars on a proven return!
