I was thinking today about the space race, how each country is doing everything they can to explore and discover new things in space.
Then I thought what if instead of competing against each other, we all worked together, if every country pulled funds together, we had all the best scientist around the world in the same room throwing ideas off one another, if we had world wide resources to accomplish missions IE building space stations, exploring Mars etc.
Not only would this be great for the pushing forward of science and space exploration, but from a humanitarian stand point it could/would be the first instance of the entire world working towards a common goal. Bringing peace and understanding of thousands of cultures together by working towards common goals.
