There is no reason why the citizens of the United States should be denied the legal right to consume alcoholic beverages when over the age of 19. The drinking age does more harm then good, The main argument to not lower the drinking age is that drinking and driving has decreased since the change to 21, but really, the laws just got stricter. I don't believe the age should be lowered to 18, but I think that 19 is practical. Almost all "ADULTS" are out of high school at that age and most are in college. The drinking age poses a dangerous threat to college campus's, such as binge drinking. Students "pregame" before going out and end up drinking too much and get alcohol poisoning. Stopping college students from drinking is impossible but giving the chance to do so is.
