Make National Election Day a National Holiday, and encourage the same holiday for states/commonwealths/territories.

Election Day in the United States should be a national holiday spanning two days to enable all citizens the time and freedom to vote in major elections. States, commonwealths and territories of the United States also should be able to enact the same style of two day holiday at their levels. This would allow as many legal Americans to vote as possible, most importantly those in work/life situations that otherwise would not, or can not, do so. It allows emergency/first responders, critical staffs in businesses and government/military occupations the opportunity to have two days to get out there and vote. These days can be alternated so all Americans of legal age and citizenry can enact their inalienable right in a democracy. What a difference a day makes to encourage action!
