Make a National holiday to honor the fallen police officers and firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

This petition is to have a National holiday to honor the fallen police officers and firefighters in the United States of America. Each year hundreds of police officers and firefighter are killed in the line of duty protecting citizens of our country, and yet the only way the are memorialized is by thier loved ones, thier departments or the organizations that support them. These BRAVE people risk thier lives each day to protect the citezens of thier communities. They do it not for the great pay, because it is not great. They do it for the true love of the job. And yet as more and more officers and firefighters die each year, they are almost forgotten about by thier goverment. This has gone on way to long and this must change.
