It is painfully obvious that the NFL cannot leave well enough alone. They are attempting to make a mockery of the most popular sport in the United States by changing the Point After Touchdown (PAT) rules. The NFL should leave this rule alone for several reasons; 1.) The fans who watch are faithful to the league and their product as it is 2.) The NFL talks safety but adding additional plays increases the chance someone gets hurt and decreases player safety and 3.) NFL owners simply cannot be trusted to substitute the PAT with anything that will add any intrinsic value to the game despite what Peter King writes in MMQB. Please have congress enact a law or a Presidential order to prevent the NFL from changing the rule.
