Make The NHAS Federal Legislation

Created by J.B. on April 21, 2016

The National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) is providing excellent guidelines to those working tirelessly for people living with HIV/AIDS; but today our nation has become complacent with how to manage the epidemic domestically. The lack of required standards for treatment of those diagnosed leaves room to for missed opportunities, disorganization, and misuse of funding. In conjunction with the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Act of 1990, the government can spend money efficiently and most importantly effectively to not only reduce the amount of new diagnoses as well as provide quality care to those who need it. Making the NHAS federal legislation would make it required of recipients of Ryan White benefits to continue treatment rather than simply suggesting continued care.
