In 1966 the NFL was granted 501(c)(6) status as tax-exempt trade organizations. With the amount of money that the NFL, NHL, and PGA make they all should be taxed. They should pay their fair share. As it stands right now the employees of and the organizations themselves do not pay for the subsidies to build the stadiums / arenas. The rest of us pay for the buildings. NFL has over 1 billion in assests and a revenue of $184 million from the individual teams.
