According to mayoclinic.org, there are over 100,000 people waiting for organ donations in the United States alone. There are currently more than 100 million registered organ donors, a third of the population! However, there are still almost twenty people dying each day waiting for an organ transplant. By making November National Organ Donor Awareness month, the number of donors across the nation would undoubtedly increase, and thousands of lives would be saved.
