Many people who did not begin in the America's have their own month to appease the pain their ancestors have felt. There is little appreciation for the suffering, past and present, of Native Americans. In many states, Natives barely come up in school. Many Americans grow up knowing very little about the original founders of our home. I would like to propose using the month of November to recognize and appreciate Native Americans. I choose this month because of thanksgiving and the ties it already has to the people of our land.
