For years nurses have been stretched too thin and the ultimate victim is the patient. Study after study has shown lowering nurse patient ratios saves lives. California has passed laws to protect patients from harm due to nurse overload. It's time to stand up for our profession and our patients against big profits for hospitals administration and insurance companies.
