Fighting 4 The Tatas Breast Cancer Organization is requesting that the President of the United States, and all Members of Congress, consider making October 3rd a National Day for Inflammatory Breast Cancer(IBC).
IBC is one of the most deadly forms of breast cancer. It does not present with a lump in most cases and is usually missed by mammograms. IBC does not allow for early detection and the ages of women being diagnosed with IBC are getting younger. Mandatory CME´s that include this info would educate the medical community and begin the process of making early detection possible for IBC. Medical education must be introduced and required for all licensed medical professionals and the public must be made aware of IBC.
This awareness can begin by making October 3rd National IBC DAY!
