The purpose of this petition is to release the monetary burden of student loans on millions of Americans. While grateful for the loan, the costs have outweighed the benefit. The drain on the financial commitments to families, whether employed and/or unemployed is unbearable. Many factors contribute the American dream not being realized. Low wages, high cost of living, student debt, economic downfall and a perpetuating state of unemployment have crippled us.
At the end of every President's term criminals are pardoned and set free. I ask on behalf of millions of Americans to make one of your final acts as President the forgiveness of student loans and free us from this debt.
