Several states allow open-carry and South Carolina did as well at one time. A criminal is going to carry a weapon on them regardless of the law. We have the right to bare arms and we should have the right to carry them for protection as well. Having to go out and pay to take a class and get concealed carry permit is just another excuse for our state to make more money. If they are going to make us take a class to get a concealed carry permit then it should be free. We are paying to protect ourselves. Allow open carry or cut the cost and make the class and permit free. As stated before guns and laws don't kill people, people kill people and we should have the right to defend and protect ourselves.
