make OPT-IN of the distribution of paper-based directories the default vs. current norm requiring OPT-OUT.

Created by S.C. on March 10, 2013

Natural resources are being misused and wasted on printing publications that are unwanted and unwelcome by the majority of ALL Americans in 2013: yellow pages and similar paper-based directories. The default currently is the consumer is forced to opt-OUT of such delivery.Doing so can be complex & burdensome. Such distribution may have been appropriate 30 years ago but today, where a growing majority of Americans get such info from the internet and where deforestation is impairing the natural defense we once had against climate change, the more sensible approach here would be to acknowledge & adjust to this change: embrace this fact-that most get this info off the internet and make the consumer have to specifically OPT-IN to receive the stuff in paper form.
