The healthcare.gov site currently denies coverage for children of parents who make more than the federal poverty level will allow for them to be eligible for state or federal help.
We the people are faced with having to purchase multiple healthcare plans to be able to use the available tax credit and provide coverage for our children. This goes against all the promises made regarding the ACA. Fixing this healthcare.gov "glitch" should be made a top priority of the administration.
Parents should not have to sacrifice the health of their children in order to qualify for a tax credit that is meant to help. The affordable care act is for all Americans not just adults. All those seeking affordable family healthcare should be allowed to enroll the whole family not just the parents!
