If this was a complex issue, it would warrant a complex description, luckily it isn't. Therefore in the spirit of Brevity:
The House and Senate are in session at MOST 150 days of the year. I am pretty sure neither of those positions are known as "Part time" positions...
Congress works far less than the average American works yearly. In fact, the exact scheduled figure is barely more than 2 days in session a week.
I want Congress to work 46 weeks a year, from 9am to 5pm.
I think it's a simple and obvious idea and would probably be a great first step turning this country around.
I am pretty sure we have nothing to lose on this one, and I would be interested to see who would oppose the idea of working harder in America. Thank you for your time.
