Within many social media sites, such as Facebook, MySpace, Pheed and others, there is the automatic condition that American users MUST give up their Constitutional Rights in order to use the social networking sites in question. According to the offending sites this is to supposedly "protect" minors and people who are easily offended or with weak constitutions from seeing material which they are mentally and/or emotionally unequipped to view.
These terms and conditions are despite the social networking sites having the technology to set up safeguards for these people so minors cannot see the material in the first place and adults who do not wish to view such material can choose to have it filtered out.
Artists and photographers are having their rights squashed by such sites needlessly.
