ENDA or the Employment Non Discrimination Act passing is long overdue. If you are gay, you can now bleed for your country but your country will not protect your freedom to work with the same protections afforded to other protected classes like race or gender or even religion.
I propose the white house do whatever is possible, even if that means the president making a public statement to veto all further legislation until his minimum priorities are provided. The president has to be a tough negotiator to effect change and this is one of the very basic rights LGBT groups need. The courts are fighting for our marriage rights as we speak but no one is fighting against our discrimination in the workplace, work, without which we are likely to be unable to afford such privelge to begin with.
