We the people support the position of President Obama against the use of chemical weapons in Syria and throughout the world.
However, we do not support a military strike against Syria that will have no affect other than to cause more death and destruction and possibly unleash further violence in the region.
We therefore urge the President to adopt a smarter and more effective approach: demand that Assad immediately turn over all chemical weapon stocks to UN Peacekeepers.
As Assad denies having used chemical weapons, and they are illegal, he clearly has no need of them as they will continue to attract the kind of retaliative strike contemplated by the US and its allies.
All other factions in Syria holding chemical weapons are called on to turn them over as well, for the same reasons.
