make permanent the monthly transit expenses pretax spending limit. Reward public transit use, not driving and parking.

Created by R.W. on December 31, 2013

Every year we the people who try and make public transit a part of our lives are told that the expiration of the American Taxpayer Relief Act has reduced our pretax spending limit for transit and vanpool expenses. Meanwhile, the monthly pretax spending limit for parking remains at much higher and increases every year, in effect, rewarding those who drive and park over those who are trying to be good citizens by taking trains, subways and buses to get to and from work. It's time this changes.
